    No print after installing driver

The customer has about 20 Windows 10 PC's. 19 of 'em print with no problem. But this one PC won't print. I ran the uninstaller to get rid of any old/conflicting drivers. All were deleted but one - WSD port. Anyway, after uninstalling the old drivers, I loaded the latest driver. After configuring the driver, I printed a test page. Nothing printed.

I'm kinda at a loss? I know one of your brilliant techs can point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Forgot to mention that I can ping the copier and access the command center.

Check to see if the spooler is running, start it if not. If not nothing will print. I have malware shut it down so look into that if it won't stay running.

Did you you use the Kyocera driver deleter tool?

What driver did you install? Should be the KX driver

What port are you printing to?

        Should be 9100 raw

Is the print job still showing in the queue?

It's unlikely to be a duplicate IP if you can access the webpage, but maybe this duplicate IP device is walking on/off of the wireless network.

Is the IP address in the correct range? I had a situation in which I had to learn about class C IP addresses.

Is the machine set to block jobs without job account codes? Without a job account code, the machine would give no indication the the job arrived and was rejected.

You might try hard setting the communication speed to 1GBs or 100MBs, not Auto Negotiate. Specifically with Konica Minolta devices, I've had situations where the first single page would print ... then communication stopped, until the next reboot ... repeating. This was especially prevalent when 1GBs print devices first came out, and most customers were still running 100MBs switches and routers.

Maybe the cables are not terminated properly, a wire misplaced?

What print emulation is set on the machine? Is it the same as the driver? If both are at Auto, you might try selecting KPDL or PCL specifically at both locations.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

Did you use the installer and it found the machine ? I've ran into this a few times, but turned it over to IT. It's definitley not a problem with the MFP.
              Hope that helps !

Just going back over the possibility of a print spooler problem. I believe that, and correct me if I'm wrong, the printers will be grayed-out in Control Panel if the print spooler stopped. The printers weren't grayed out in this case. So, I think I can rule that out. But I will be sure to double-check in the morning.

Yes, I used the installer and it found the machine with no problem. All of the PC's in this office are connected wirelessly. But like I said, I can ping the copier and reach the Command Center.

This tool is the proper way to remove printers from computer. It removes all relevant driver information and registry attributes correctly. It is an invaluable tool, that works very good.

For the record, I used the uninstaller tool. Or the delete tool. Or whatever you want to call it. In fact, I ran it twice. I'll update this thread tomorrow....one way or the other.

Turns out that it was a print spooler problem. The spooler was running, but I had to clear it out and then run the Kyocera Driver Deleter and reinstall drivers.

Here's the steps for anyone interested:

                              Open Start on Windows 10.

Search for services.msc and click the top result to open the Services console.

Right-click the Print Spooler service and select the Properties option.

                              Click the General tab.

                              Click the Stop button.

Use the Windows key + R keyboard shortcut to open the Run command.

Type the following path and press Enter:

                              C:\Windows\System32\spool\printers

Click the Continue button (if applicable)

Select everything in the printers folder (Ctrl + A keyboard shortcut) and hit the Delete button to remove all its content.

In the General tab, click the Start button to restart the spooler.

                              Click the OK button.

Once you complete the steps, you can try to print a document one more time, and the printer should work as expected.
