    Dash Marks cs 5053

Hello all , having a issue with this copier . It keeps leaving dash marks, the front of the marks are bold and then leaves a tail on random prints and copies . About 3 weeks ago gave c2840 code and waste tank was backed up . Replaced parts drive H (teeth on gear broken off) , waste toner box and the transfer belt . Called back a week later saying leaving marks . Cleaned all inside machine and noticed black dev was spilling inside machine and replaced dev unit . Still would leave marks tried new black drum and fuser same result . Seems odd the way the marks are so i am at a lost any help on this issue i can try would be appreciate

Have you cleaned the ducts beneath & behind the developing unit, and the registration roller cleaner? I suspect that you'll find that both are completely blocked with toner. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Are those marks only black marks?

Swap one of the other drums and see if the color of the marks change.

I had a black drum unit back up once because the shaft for the auger broke at the gear. One screw holds the cover for the drum unit and three screws hold in the drum shaft. I was able to carefully remove the drum and and cleaning blade then vacuum all the backed up toner. I then swapped the black drum for the yellow drum. This way the machine would work for the customer until I was able to get back out with a new drum unit. And yes, I did use the new drum unit in the black spot.

          Hope this helps.
