Kyocera Copy Star 300 scan function - Windows 11

I have a Kyocera CS 300. I just purchased new computers and I am trying to set up the scan to shared folder (SMB) function, which I have set up on my old computers. When I try to log into the IP address 192.168.1.5 "Unsupported protocol -The client and server don't support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite."

So, I tried to configure it manually by going to send, and entering the data manually, which includes the Host Name (name of computer), Path (location of shared file), Login user name (email - same on in the old computer), and login Password (same one I had in the old computer) and it cannot connect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You may get web page error usually go to advance than continue to web page

What browser are you using? Try running an older version of Internet Explorer...if it's still supported.

Unfortunately, it just closes the window down. It doesn't give me any advanced options.

That's because Sha2 and and TLS 1.2 aren't enabled. You will have to use an older browser in order to log in to the Kyocera webpage.

I did. I tried Chrome, Edge and the unsupported Internet Explorer. I also ran a Google search to see if there was some setting in Windows 11 I could go into and change. I found nothing. I have the Kyocera book, but I own the machine and they are not helpful.

I'm running 90.0.2 for this very purpose.
I don't believe the 300i will support the SMB version needed for Windows 11 though.

I used the Internet Explorer on the remaining computer I have Windows 10 on. I have an older laptop that I will try tomorrow.

Thank you. I will try it. Worst case scenario I have an old laptop with Windows 8. I can (hopefully) set it up to scan to that, drop it to a flash drive, and load it to the Windows 11 computer. Not buying a new copies (she says). Tried to update the software to the copier through KM NET. That failed. Sigh.

FTP is difference port 21 old fall back when smb was an issue
