Hello my friends,
Hope you all doing good out there. So the other day I had a weird service call for freezing issues in a Kyocera 5053 whenever the customer tries to scan to folder or USB flash drive. Upon arrival, I did not find any error code on the display nor could not duplicate the problem they claimed they were having. They even told me that sometimes the copier would freezes when trying to print and make copies as well which I thought was so weird to me. They also told me that whenever this problem happens, they would resolved it by powering off and on the machine but would eventualy come back weeks later sonthey finally gave up and called us to come over. I have never seen this problem before. Nevertheless, I went ahead and updated the firmware and checked the print drivers on their PC to make sure they had the correct Kyocera driver.
Normally if it was just a printing issues then I would update the firmware and print driver. Worst case scenario asknthem to contact their IT guy if I suspected server issues on their end.
But in this case, it seems like scanning, copying and printing is being frozed by the copier. Could this be Hard drive spooling data issues???
