I also had a lousy cable issue. The main symptom was as super slow printing. At first, all focus was on Kyocera. The port to which the printer was connected drilled HP switch CPU at 100%. And all this happened at random intervals around 50% of the time. Of course, we understood this was a cable problem after changing the device to a brand new...

2 different machines in different rooms on the same network doing the same symptoms all of the sudden. That's surely a network issue. Connect the laptop directly to bypass network to print and prove each Kyocera is fine. Then troubleshoot the network cables, switch ports etc.

I know others have said check that it's a TCP/IP port not a WSD, but you keep saying its a not a WSD driver. Maybe just the wrong term, but double check it's not set a WSD in the PORTS, not in the driver. A KX driver can still by set to WSD by Microsoft. You can also turn off WSD printing in the command center of each mfp to be certain.

Continuous ping of course is another great tool to make sure it's keeping its connection and the network isn't dropping it due to a bad cable, dual ip, etc.

      Good luck.
      Best rule for troubleshooting.

Load the pcl mini driver and test

It's basically a striped down driver it only sends the data
              No extra junk

This is why you rule out the machine early on and put it on the customer's IT or network provider. HATE network calls that they keep saying it's the printer's fault when it ends up being their network.

This is where I always start. Once I determine if it is a printer problem or a network problem I proceed. If it is a network issue I find out if they have some one on staff or contracted to handle it. If they do I'm out. Most oft it is a network issue and is easily resolved by scrubbing and reloading the driver. Not always.

                    I'd do a 917, 021, 917 then resend the job.
