    Disable Sleep Mode on

    Hello

My company recently deployed some Kyocera 2040dw's---We've configured them for "Quick Recovery" and set the sleep timer to 120 minutes (the maximum). After 120 minutes of it being idle it goes to sleep and someone needs to physically go to the printer and hit a button to wake it up. It's a large warehouse and my user's aren't happy with the having to walk across the warehouse to wake it up

Does anyone know if there's a way to total disable it going to sleep?

    Thanks

what did you find in the service manual? or the user guide?
must be a small warehouse if it's not used for 2 hours and goes to sleep. how long does it take for it to wake up when you press the button? print jobs should automatically wake it without pressing a button.

Do not think there is a Disable mode. Sleep timer setting are from 1-240 minutes. (depends on the version of 2040dw)

This is correct. I hope that you plan on 1/3 the yield on the fuser, with energy saver @240 minutes. The only way to get close to yield on those fusers, is to set 5minutes or less on the sleep timer. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I know have 4 Ecosys M & P devices (brand new. less then a month in the filed) that have this behavior. It don't matter the recovery mode, you have to turn Off and On before it will print. I have set the weekly timer to turn on in the morning. still no go.

Called tech support, they don't have any cases with those symptoms. told me to replace the main PCB.

If the printer doen't wake up automatically when they send a print job (which it should do) update the firmware & check they have the correct driver installed & that is is not on a WSD port.

If you want to disable sleep mode you should be able to do it utilizing maintenance mode u346.

See this page from the service manual

setting: auto sleep on or off
