Here are some reasons not to:
5521cdw 5526cdw not adding toner
M5526 lines on prints
Kyocera M5526cdw and generic toner....(OK to throw empty beer bottles at me...)
If you really want reliable, reasonably consistent color, forget tabletop color altogether. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Just don't bother with anything desktop COLOR from Kyocera. Epson has a WF-C5790 that's decent, might be what you want. It's OFFICE color though, and although it's ink, it's not like a normal ink jet color quality.Comment

Re: Any reason not to get a Kyocera 5526 MFP?
The M5526 is a low-end device Kyocera produced to maybe compete in the retail printer market, it's cheap to buy but might have the highest cost per page of any Kyocera device. Cheap to buy but at least 2.5x more expensive to operate = STAY AWAY.Comment

For a small desktop printer this was pretty unreliable & cheaply made.

Re: Any reason not to get a Kyocera 5526 MFP?
Bottom line always is you get what you pay for. It may be a cheap printer but the manufacturer will always make their money back on toners and kits. I've been in the industry a long time and have always heard, " I'm going to buy a "cheap" printer," it's an illusion created by the industry to fool potential buyers. I deal with it everyday, offices running on cheap HP inkjets, spending a HUGE amount of money on ink and super inefficient document feeders and speed issues. Yet, we quote them on good entry level equipment and they still choose the super store "cheap" printers.
Step up into the M6635cidn's is you must go into table top color, they do have their faults though, black drums get toner build up over time and be carful with the standard 250 sheet paper tray as they can be finicky. I like the Sharp MX-C304W's in this class, you can use quality aftermarket toners the only downfall is if you are using envelopes they wrinkle, but overall reliable, and total low cost of ownership.Comment
