We are getting a odd bug on a 3051ci. We are getting a c9600 code it can be cleared using 906. It only happens when running legal. C9600 is a fuser fan issue, why only on legal?

Have you examined FUFM1 & FUFM2? It's not unheard of for fans fill with dust, get out of balance, and to fail. Especially near the fuser. Can you run those fans in U037 > Conv Edge > Start?
Where do you find a reference to any code U9600? I don't see any reference. Are you talking about DP original jams J9600? That wouldn't have anything to do with fuser fans. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

You probably meant C6900. The likely reason you see this with legal paper is that it is narrower (8.5 vs 11 lead edge). Try running letter size paper short edge feed and you will probably get the same error and it is likely exactly what blackcat mentions or simply a failed fan. That machine series is quite old.Comment
