[Kyocera M6535cidn] - Updated firmware available?

    Hi community!
I just purchased an M6535cidn from the second market. Unfortunately it seems like there is a problem with Scan-to-mail functions.
I got in touch with the german support team, but unfortunately they referred me to a local dealer for support.

I have the feeling that the firmware might be outdated on this guy, the official webpage does not provide new files.
Is someone out there who could help finding the newest firmware for M6535cidn as well as the wireless NIC IB-51?

    Currently installed is the following:
    System : 2PC_2000.002.004
    Maschine : 2PC_1000.001.106
    Bedienfeld : 2PC_7000.001.105
    Internetbrowser : 2NM_F000.001.004
    Fax : 2NM_5100.005.001
    HyPAS EMB API :

    IB-51 :
    2.1.5

    2.2.2
Thanks in advance and enjoy your day!

Yes, sure. I did some troubleshooting and as it turned out, the smtp client does not meet encryption protocols enforced by the mail server.
As a side note, I'm running STARTTLS 587/tcp here, enforcing SSL/TLS on port 465 makes no difference obviously. See a short excerpt here:

Disabling or downgrading encryption is not an option. Hope that helps

          Hi diedux,

thank you very much for the files! I'm somehow unable to send DM, so using the thread instead...

Now, how do I upgrade the firmware on the printer? Tried with FirmwareUpgradeTool from Kyocera,
but it seems to expect a firmware update package file *.fwp...

Any clue on how to proceed? Also getting some strange authentication error when trying to configure the device via KNetView, which I do not understand.
I triple checked credentials, SNMP configuration, created new admin user in ccrx, but still no joy.

          Thanks in advance!

          BR
          Marcel

            USB format FAT 32,firmware unzip
Download the latest firmware, put the firmware in the USB.
turn the machine off / on,as soon you turn the machine on will pick up by itself.
when firmware finish will show in the machine, update complete

A couple more tips for uploading firmware from a USB stick. I usually do a quick format to the stick before loading firmware onto it. This insures there is nothing on that stick. I load the firm on the root of the stick. No folder with a special name needed.

Turn off the machine, put the USB stick with the firmware into the USB slot on the machine. Turn the machine on. It will read Complete when finished. Turn the machine off, remove the USB stick.

I hope that helps with uploading firmware.

Scanning to email with Outlook or Outlook 365, is an other matter.

Also, one of the things I always do when i buy used/preowned Kyocera equipment is to find System Initialization and run it. Depending on the model it may take several hours for that to complete. I usually do it before I leave at the end of the day. On most Kyocera machine I find it under Adjustments/Maintenance. I think it does a good job of wiping the machine so your starting with mostly clean slate. On the smaller desktop models, I may have to hunt around or just look in the book. IMHO well worth the time.
