    KM-2560 error code 0630

just for your information. we had a m/c giving this code when the doc feeder was used but not on any other function of the m/c.
tried all the usual, boards ,doc feeder on another m/c dimms flat cable just about every thing possible to eliminate the fault. because the doc feeder worked on another m/c and it tested ok on continuity we did not suspect it. we did not have the m/c at the workshop so we were just sending parts. finally our service manager got an old harness 1 from doc feeder to m/c and cut each wire 1 at a time resoldered then another finally the last wire which was the BLAK wire created the faul exactly. the tech who was working on the m/c soldered a wire from plug to plug and it solved the problem on his m/c. the wire was breaking down and when he tested it it showed continuity. hope this helps.

Great troubleshooting! Did you note which pin# on the connectors, or the function of that wire (signal name)?

Thanks for sharing your find. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Hi, blackcat4866
the feeder was a DP670, the black wire went to pin.6 on the DP driver board. also the symptoms were the paper would feed through doc feeder ok the display would then say. "pausing scanning" then after a few seconds it would code out 0630. hope this is useful. i will see if the manual describes what that wire does.

what was realy wrong with the wire.
was it shorting with the ground.
Or was it breaking the connection.
          reply thanks.

it was breaking down, when test with the multimeter it seemed fine
on the m/c i guess with movement it failed.
