    Kyocera KM-4530 Error C5100 Help

I am not sure what happened. I know it sounds amateur.

I was checking the machine out for a customer because of bad copy quality and determined it needed a developer change and some rollers.
Then I was running test ages all looked ok and then the error posted

C5100 --it will go to paperjam first in area 6 and then after clearing with no paper found it sounds like it is recovering and then the C5100 error.

    Help.

C5100 is a main charge high voltage error.

I haven't worked on that many Falcon I machines, but I suspect that you may have inserted the primary charger incorrectly, or broke the primary wire or grid. That's a starting point anyway. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

first: km-4530 is not falcon, it's the 'last mita' (organic drum-300k), high volume, 5530 being the biggest, i.e. grandfather of current 620-820

c5100 is main charger fault. broken corona wire, arching or unplugged cable would be first to check

        C-5100

Make sure the scortron grid is clean, use a rag dampened with water, lightly run the rag on both sides of the grid so as not to bend up the cross wires. Also check the ends of the corona wire make sure there is no pigtails from the spring or the press in plug. Also make sure the wire is taught.

In my experience the S/T corona unit had far more issues; bad blocks, erroded wire etc. The main charger just needed to be replaced on PM's
