    km-1820

I have a km-1820/the customer said the unit was saying drum low. We changed the process unit and now the unit stays stuck on the kyocera screen. On the bottom there are bars when it boots up. It only goes as far as seven bars.I tried to do a firmware upgrade on the unit and it will not take at all. It stays on the same screen. Any suggestions?

The firmware DIMMs on the machine is embedded in the main PWB and engine PWB respectvely, and it could be either. Flip a coin, heads for main PWB, tails for engine PWB.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I had that 7bar lock @ boot once on an 1820. It turned out to be a main pwb.
