    C2700 on CS-250ci, intermittently

This machine has recorded 27 occurences of the code (no I've never seen it myself). The machine has only 25K prints. I've disassembled the transfer belt assembly and cleaned and applied some white grease to the color release cams, and cycled the motor many times manually and through sim U030. I also cleaned the color release photointerrupter, but the unit was really clean, nothing to really clean.
Has anyone seen the C2700, and is it the color release motor like I suspect? Warranty will cover it, but it seems like such a huge waste to replace the whole unit. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Here is some info on your problem! all should be warranty if it was registered with KMA!

    Poor contact in the
    connector terminals.
Check the connection of connector YC28 on
the engine PWB and the connector of the
color release motor, and the continuity
across the connector terminals. Repair or
    replace if necessary.

    Defective color
    release motor.
    Replace the color release motor.

    Defective engine
    PWB.
Replace the engine PWB and check for correct
    operation

Thanks madas, this looks like just what I need. I've already lubricated those cams, and that by itself may be enough. If I see any re-occurrances I'll add the shim.

        Again, thanks. =^..^=
