If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

It's a java based utility that serves the same purpose as the other ways to send PreScribe commands, and requires little setup on the users network. The command file can be stored in the same file as the utility, and does not require editing based on model. The commands are not universal across the whole line, but the most commonly used ones stay the same. It is not necessary to have print functions set up, as long as the cable is connected and IP address can be accessed.
LPR Jar can run from a USB stick. Just insert the stick in any PC on the network and the utility will run from the stick.
The other options can be hard to access, or require loading software to the users PC:
1) IC Link: Works well to older Kyocera machines, but does not play well with Wysecore machines, even when the Wysecore option is selected.
2) Printable Data: This screen available on the web interface of some Kyocera products allows the sending of a command, either by typing on the line, or by browsing to a file. This function is not available on all Kyocera products, and the web page can be passworded.
3) KM-Net Viewer: Has a function almost identical to Printable Data. Requires loading a fairly large application to the users PC. Or if it's loaded to you're laptop, requires scanning the network to pick up the available machines on the network.
4) Command Line: Requires composing the command in a Notepad file which is located on the root drive, then composing the command to reference that file.
As far as I can tell there is only a single drawback to LPR Jar. On a few of my larger customers Java commands are blocked across the network, so a direct connection is required (crossover cable to my laptop). =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

I don't think I would put it exactly that way...
Here's an example:
When copying to a Copystar Falcon III MFP the machine automatically switches trays if there is another tray loaded with the correct size paper, and the image is re-oriented to suit. But if you are printing, the MFP is defaulted not to tray switch, so displays "Load Paper", even if there are three other trays loaded with the same size paper. The web page does not grant access to FRPO setting like some other models. The only way I know of changing auto tray switching for printing is to send the following command:
!R! FRPO R1,99;EXIT;
It doesn't sound like such a big deal, but to the customer it was. And it's the only way to change this setting. And with a little guidance, the IT staff was able to correct this oversight on 25 other Falcon III and Stratos machines, remotely from the IT dept. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

GCC Printers seems to be gone.
So I've finally had to break down and get a new laptop. It's Win8.1, and I seem to be taking to it OK, but here's the problem: GCC Printers is no longer out on the web, and the 32-bit version of LPR Jar does not run on the new 64-bit OS.
I know that there are other ways of doing the same thing:
1) The days of the Printable Data link on the webpage seem to be long gone.
2) IC Link seems to be about the best second choice. Historically IC Link has not been 100% successful with communicating.
3) KM Net Viewer and KM Net Admin are a bit large and unwieldy for such a simple task.
4) Command line still works, but requires a loaded/shared driver for the appropriate model.
Has anyone come across a substitute for LPR Jar? I did a little web research and came across a potential substitute: it's intended for loading camera firmware to video devices, and also uses Java directly to an IP, but I don't know if it's using port 9100.
Perhaps somebody downloaded a 64-bit version of LPR Jar?
I may have found it here: LPR JAR UTILITY DOWNLOAD
It's supposed to be compatible with WinXP/Vista/Win7/Win8. Testing tomorrow. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

Re: where can i download "LPR jar utility"
BC,
It's a shame LPR.jar was pulled. Here is a utility that seems to work as well. The biggest difference is that it installs in Windows instead of running stand-alone, and it looks at your Windows printers instead of the user typing in the IP address, so you just need to open the printers folder and re-configure one of the printer's ports to point to the IP address you need. I have been using it on Win 7/64 pro without issues.
Copy to Printer - Software Informer. An utility that will send any file directly to any printer Windows knows of.Comment

Re: where can i download "LPR jar utility"
Thanks CWP. That looks like a fair substitute.
Warning!!! Do not try that LPR Jar download. It's packed with viruses and trojans. I'm still trying to get rid of all the infestations. I've requested Aneurysm remove the link.
It seems like every time I fire up the laptop, it's: Oh crap! I don't have that software any more ...

I like it...
Now I don't have to worry about finishing this module in the iTToolbox program.
Someone has already done it. Nice job by the looks.
I just have to test that it works platform independant from a USB stick,
otherwise it cannot be quick and portable between other PC's...

Re: where can i download "LPR jar utility"
217 infected files, and it was replicating rapidly. The tricky element to this virus is the UnInstall file further re-infects every time you try to uninstall.
I went by time/date and stopped all process and services that I could not identify. Malwarebytes snagged 217 files, but not the worst ones. Watch for "BrowserHelperSrv. exe" and VT Installer. It creates hundreds of copies of the configuration files found in every Windows program. Again I just deleted every file after a specific date/time all named "desktop. ini". It also had a re-director popping up hundreds of browser windows, and changing all my browser settings.
Four hours of my life wasted chasing a spreading virus. Uggh!Last edited by blackcat4866; 08-30-2015, 04:05 PM.If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
