    [Jamming] KM-C3232 Gives paper jam

    Hi

One of our clients has a Kyocera KM-C3232 that gives paper jams. We've replaced almost everything on the machine, clutches, rollers, etc. Out of desperation we decided to initialize the machine... end of problem... until now. Does anyone have a permanent fix for this problem? Or can anyone please give me some advice...

This all-clear you performed can be very destructive. Did you print off the maintenance report, then re-enter all that data you cleared? I thought not. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

You're right we didn't we only re-entered things like date, time, etc.
Is it harmful to initialize the machine, if done alot?

I will also post the jam codes I am just waiting for the other guy at the office to bring them to me.

              oh [censored]!

j31 on taskalfa's can mean new transfer unit. I dont know if old series has the same problem.

Does the paper gets stuffed between the roller and plate on the duplex unit? is there duplex unit?

CAPTAIN! ZA BELT JUST DONT MOVE!!

does it happen only on double sided? your fuser and transfer unit both have starwheels? or the paper magically gets folded in between fuser rollers?

MORE SYMPTOMS, jam code only say so much(naturopath? no?).

transfer belt is shot, take it out for inspection.

the transfer belt isnt turning, therefore the foam roller isnt as well, but the rubber roller is still pushing the paper upward, therefore the unique paper jam.

Agreed. When you remove the primary transfer belt you'll find that one of the rubber inner tracks has come off and is entangled in the idler pulleys. By the time the transfer belt is completely stalled, usually it will have wrinkles or worn holes in the belt.

And yes. Throwing away all your image registration and color calibration data does not do any good for your copy quality. =^..^=
