    kyocera 3040

Hello Friends, when I use DUPLEX MODE 2 sided copy the image of the first side and 2 side SHIFT UPWARDS about 1 inch, while using normal copy mode 1 side the print is ok no shift from anywhere I check it from all Trays the result is same ,the prob comes only when USING DUPLEX MODE, I also CLEAR ALL MEMORY but still no result,
i dont takek a maintenance report before i do this
    so please sent
    U034 > LSU OUT LEFT

U067 > ADJUST DATA1 to adjust scanning centerline, and ADJUST DATA2 for centerline of rotated images.
Third, you'll need to run simulation U072 > DATA (simplex) to adjust DP centerline first side, DATA(duplex1) to adjust DP centerline for first duplex page second side, and DATA(duplex2) to adjust centerline for second and later duplex second sides.

    which you enter
    Please I need help.

I don't think I understand raj. Did you just provide us a procedure to adjust centerline registration for printing, scanning, and document processor, or did you ask how to fix a centerline adjustment problem?

From what I can tell, the only thing you did wrong (and it's a big something), is that you did not print the maintenance report first. Where did you get the idea that an All Clear ever fixed anything? You only discarded the factory settings and now don't know what they were.

Is the centerline adjustment problem occurring during printing (U034), scanning (U067), or using the document processor (U072), or some combination?

When you do these adjustments be sure to do these image alignment adjustments in a very specific order:

    Printing
U034 Centerline, LSU OUT LEFT (for all paper sources, including duplex)
    specifically check DUPLEX
U034 Leading Edge Registration, LSU OUT TOP (for all paper sources, including duplex)
    specifically check DUPLEX
U402 Edge Voids, LEAD to 3mm, A (front) to 2mm, C (rear) to 2mm, Trail to 4mm, Trail Duplex to 4mm, Trail MPT to 4mm

    Scanning OC (off contact glass)
U065 Magnification Main Scanning Direction, MAIN SCAN ADJ.
U065 Magnification Sub Scanning Direction, SUB SCAN ADJ.
    U067 Centerline, ADJUST DATA 1
U067 Centerline for rotated images, ADJUST DATA 2
U066 Leading Edge Registration, ADJUST DATA 1
U066 Leading Edge Registration for rotated images, ADJUST DATA 2

    Document Processor
U070 Magnification Sub Scan 1st Side, MAIN ADJ
U070 Magnification Sub Scan 2nd Side, SUB ADJ
U072 Centerline DP Single Sided, DATA (simplex)
U072 Centerline DP 1st Side Duplex, DATA (duplex 1)
U072 Centerline DP 2nd Side Duplex, DATA (duplex 2)
U071 Leading Edge Registration 1st Side, Adjust Data 1
U071 Leading Edge Registration 2nd Side, Adjust Data 3

Adjustments at the beginning of this list affect all adjustments following. It take about an hour to get all of these adjustments done. Once it's completed it will probably never need to be done again (unless someone does an All Clear, that is). =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
