Customer called this AM with occasional total black page. I would guess that the drum unit DK-716 would be most likely candidate to solve this problem. I was going to order the MK-716 and start with drum unit. Any helpful advice and information would be very much appreciated as I have minimal experience on this model. Frank/ActionPhotocopy

Re: KM5050 with periodic black page
It's usually the primary only (sometimes as simple as a stuck wire cleaner), but like bangin says, take advantage of any warranty you've got. It's not uncommon to get pinholes in these drums when the primary starts arcing. Also make sure the drum drive coupler isn't gunked up and not returning. Don't use conductive grease as that will add resistance to the drum ground. Use a little light oil to free up the coupler. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: KM5050 with periodic black page
The harder you run them, the longer they last.
Depending on the size of the drum, Kyo's ASi drums last anywhere from 300k to 3M anticipated yield. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
