    [CQ] TA-5500i

I have intermittent black copies, in print and copies with different media type. New drum unit and laser unit. New firmware 3.01 installed individually with compact flash.

If you have black copies, you have a problem with drum charge. If the laser is the problem you will certainly get an error.

Firmware 3.01 sure claims to fix a lot of issues, but I agree with Erik. It's got to be primary charge related. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

With my new drum unit, the charge roller is new. In the past with other machine, no code was givin with quality problem concerning laser unit on KM-4530.
I'll tried high voltage unit, but my problem is intermittent!

If i fixed my problem, i'll give you my fix!

          Thank's

            Finaly, it's fixed.

Between high votage PCB's and the plate who will touch the drum unit, a wire is attached and connected, but in the middle the wire is cut and reconnected with a tension spring. This spring wasn't sit properly on the bottom.

No sorry, I can't imagine a stupid way to made machine, so many years with this manufacturer.

No clamshell, where the machine have to open, i don't understand why they didn't put a complete wire to the connection.

                Thank's
