km6030/8030 main drive gear chewd up

Hey, does anyone have an idea of what causes the main motor drive gear to get chewed up?
it seems there would have to be a major motor malfunction or the machine to keep going while the fuser is stopped?
Ive replaced one and am going to have to do it again, this time i have a new motor as well, but the old one looks good, the worm gear does not appear to be marred ... ive been told the gears under the fuser can get locked up? but they seem to spin freely... can the bearings freeze up under the heat? this would make sense except they seem to be in good order..
    any insight would be cool.

The typical life of a rebuilt fuser drive unit is 440K to 990K. I replace gear 88T (302FB22960) & fuser motor (302FB27231) and clean out all the old lubricant and re-grease, or the fusing drive assy (302FB93134). Clean the duplex PWB of steel shavings with compressed air and a soft brush. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

We had started using the motor from the 620/820 to put into 6030/8030....they seemed to be a lot more durable. I also would clean and lubricate all the gears and shafts on the exit assembly to make sure none where gunked up and overworking that motor.

302FB25350 is the fixing motor itself and 302FB93132 is the whole assembly motor, gears, etc.

Yeah we had a machine we had replaced about 3 fuser motors in in like a 5 month period. They printed out bank statements once a month so they really ran these machines. Once we swapped over to the other motor and cleaned all that stuff up we never replaced the motor again.
