    Network Fax driver for TASKalfa2551ci not working on Server 2012

    Hi

    We have the next problem at one of our customers with TASKalfa 2551ci:

    On Server 2012 R2 Network Fax driver version 4.0.0930 is installed with sharing to 32 bit stations.
    Sending fax from server or windows 7 stations (32 and 64 bit) causes this error message:

      Make sure WSD is enabled on the machine.

          Yes, WSD Print and Scan is enable

              If I remember correctly the fax driver is not intended for installation as a shared driver on a server. It only works as a local driver. =^..^=
              If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                  Blackcat is correct. The driver needs to communicate with the MFP and it's not possible on a server/share installation. It must be local.

                      Hi guys, does anyone know if you are able to install a network fax driver for the TA3212i on a 2008 R2 server and have it shared to thin clients

                              Thanks tmaged, just wanted to be certain , I was trying to find compatibility chart of some sort

                                  Make sure driver has manage printer checked also that its IP port is the address of copier Not a WSD port. A local install would most likely be better as user can customize there own fax cover page.
