KM 5050 reg coupling gear holder broke

Customer called today holding the broken part in her hand. It looks like 2 coupling gears that are driven by the registration clutch
The first picture is from an intact machine I went and found pointing to the part.
The second picture is the broken part from customers machine.
Anyone know how to access this to replace, it looks like the part # is 2FG06083 paper feed housing
    Thanks

Looks like you need another middle feed unit, since ordering just the broken plastic frame and assembling everything back together would be a nightmare.

    Good luck.

thanks, that's why I thought it would be a good idea to ask since i never replaced this before.
I will order the middle feed unit.
What is involved to get that out?

This looks like it broke from the middle feed unit. remove the two straps that holds up the door, then remove the cover for the middle feed unit, this is the black plastic just above the arrow in your pic. remove the connector and hold both sides of the middle unit and pull outwards towards the door direction.

302GR93150 this is the whole unit. middle feed

your part number is for the housing for the middle feed only. You will have to transfer everthing over, clutch, wires ect. With kyocera, if you are a dealer, you would know most items are cheaper or relative cheaper to replace the whole item rather that individual parts, especially pm kit items.

            Good luck.
That's not that bad, it only looks like that in the parts list. I have done this a few times and is relative simple, just pay attention to how you disassemble and your assemble should be ok.

It's quite easy. You'll do fine.

While you're there installing, check that the transfer roller bushings are intact, and all the springs there. One of the ways that the middle feed unit gets broken is when the rear transfer roller bushing breaks, releasing the transfer roller. A not-too-observant enduser might slam the left door very hard, in an effort to make the door close over the dropped transfer roller. It doesn't close, but they can do a lot of damage in the process. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

We keep a whole unit on the shelf as we've replaced 1/2 dozen at least. They just drop in if memory serves me. No tools required.
                Hope that helps !

Tip. Super glue works really well on the plastic of the housing on this part. Good to remember if you're ever stuck and don't have the middle feed unit in stock. It'll get the machine up and running with no issues until you have the part.
