I have a CS-4501i that a full PM has just been done on and it has background on the top and bottom of the page now. I've attatched an example. The background is not on the first couple prints, but from like page 4 and on until the job is complete. Also, the counters don't appear to be clearing for drum/dev in service mode. This is even after a firmware update. All the U mode procedures ran post PM instalation appear to execute normally. Any insite on what I could be overlooking is appreciated!
It look to me like primary charge. Did you handle the primary charge or get some other sort of contaminant on the roller? I would take a few minutes to clean the primary with glass cleaner.
The drum and developing unit are chipped, and should have reset themselves with no additional steps. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
Are you using OEM toner....I have seen a few machines were off brand toner builds up on mag roller in dev unit....you can clean it up but it will not last long.IMG_20150812_113021.jpgIMG_20150812_113027.jpg

Thanks for feedback. It turns out that the overall maintenance counter was at 999,999 and conflicted with the parts counters from clearing out when the new OEM parts that were installed. Unfortunately a new drum and developer were needed to finally get the parts counters to clear after the maintenance counter was adjusted back to standard setting. Worked with Tech Support on this and we have to send both units that didn't clear back to get a credit based off machines serial number. Huge pain in the ass, but that is what it was.
