    muratec mfx 2830 radf

Working on a muatec mfx 2830 radf that keeps indicating a jam on the last page of any scan. There really is no jam but the machine makes you lift the door and reset it everytime. The last sensor is sticking a little, but not everytime!
and, it is not stuck down when you open the door to check the so called jam. Tried cleaning it, no help.
Anybody ever had this happen? Thanks!

I too am dealing with one of these. Muratec says it may be the ds2 feeler inside the feedin side just before the scanner lens.. if your cust does a lot of scanning like mine does they say it can wear out and cause odd jamming issues. I'll update once my part(s) come in on wednesday. Jeez!

    Regards!

Order the feeler tech support told you about. Not expensive. Have replaced alot of these in the fax models. Compare the old to the new and you will see that there is not supposed to be a flat tip on the feeler. Also helps with registration issues.

Was just there, pulled the feeler (it comes out from the bottom of the df, its under the white metal plate (the plate pops off, then 1 screw holding the feeler +sensor in place)) added 2 layers of cut of cut to shape black tape and placed over the end.. it works MUCH better now (still waiting on the part)

          Regards!
