    old school

since i had to work on one this morning. what's the oldest make and model copier that you have at a customers that is still working. even though parts are no longer available for said model. i originally started out as a kyocera tech. and the model i worked on today was the kyocera mita km3035. this one has about 400k on the count. i actually have another customer who has one as well. ended up that machine had a couple of paper jams. i also cleaned the paper feed rollers in the tray, as well as the adf feed rollers. now this dinosaur it up and running again.

We still have a Sharp AR-M237 (introduction date 2004), AR-317 (2007) and a Sharp AR-M450N (2003) still running. They are not on contracts and we still service them on an as needed basis.

Just traded in. There are still 3 in service older than this one. All of them are little country churches.

We have a CS 221 in an office of a CEO of a company because he like the machine. Still scans with it using the scan utility. Had to get help from Kyocera support to load it on a Win 10 box.

We have three CS 300i out in the field. Their all in low volume areas.

We also have a couple of CS 2560s that also wont die and the customer won't upgrade.

I haven't been to it but I do believe we have a 4050 still chugging along.
