Machine works great overall just when duplex thru adf we get a line on second side. Any thoughts?

To be clear on this does it do the line off the glass & doc feed AND via a print job? Or just off the glass/doc feeder?Comment

oh and it is possible you can have lines just on print jobs as it would be an engine issue not an optical fault.Comment

Because im trying to get the correct information as its already changed from the original post. No point trying to give him help if it's the wrong fault.

No one has asked of the line is front to back, second side, about a quarter inch from the trail side (up and down)?Comment

Hi mrfuser... Several questions have been asked by others and it's still not 100% clear as to what problem you are actually having..
When you say, "Yes that's it exactly"... To which are you referring to as being "exactly" correct.?
-- does it do the line off the glass.?
-- does it do the line from the ADF.? (if so, is it only when duplexing.?)
-- does it do the line when printing Internal prints.?
-- is the line running from "front to back" or "lead to trail".?
-- and Etc....
As banginbishop pointed out earlier... Any help offered, won't be of any use to you unless we know exactly what's happening..
