[Electrical] MP C5501 I regularly get colored cubes

One MP C5501 I regularly get colored cubes ( CMYK) sometimes together , sometimes with dashes, but always in the middle of the page. I cleaned everything, including the laser. anyone have an idea?

    THX,

Update ALL the firmware files then run full music, after check the results should show 11111111.
    Finally run ACC.
This issue is related to itb patch timing

Sounds like maybe the ITB cleaning unit is not cleaning the belt properly.

What you are getting are the process control patches. They are not being properly removed from the ITB by the cleaning unit.

You can actually do more damage trying to clean a cleaning unit. Since you say that the marks are in the middle and not on the front or back edges, the cleaning blade is warped either from trying to clean it or from using non Ricoh parts. Yes you can rebuild them. Yes Ricoh does sell parts to rebuild with, but when you add the cost of labor, it is less expensive to replace the entire unit. And using after market part will end up costing in the long run when they fail much sooner.

If the patches werent being cleaned off the itb i'd expect to see them smudged on the printout, if they are printed perfectly eg not cleaned at all see my post above.

I have had the problem before and the patches are not smudged.

Re: MP C5501 I regularly get colored cubes

Ive had the gears on the PTR roller go bad,(The 2nd transfer on the slide out drawer, not in the main transfer) and cause drive issues, I did see the patches on some of these, but the image was shifted also. Something to check...

Your sample looks like a fuser issue, i'd rule out itb cleaning as the rest on the txt image is good
