    Mpc4502 fuser clack on start up

    Anyone know why a 4502 fuser would clack on start up?
    works fine otherwise .

    From what I remember its a firmware update that solves the fuser clunk when first powered on.

                  try setting SP-1151-004 to 800

                      The ire is generally aimed at newbies that pop up begging for firmware with no offers to help anyone else.

                        The main problem I have with firmware being freely available is the mess it can cause when inexperienced end users try and update it themselves. It's led to massive headaches. I agree that firmware should be freely available to technicians only.
                        It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

                          Gear on the end of the pressure roller. New pressure rollers come with the new gear already mounted.
