    [CQ] Ricoh mp c6502 magenta marks/line

    Hi and thank in advance for any input

    Getting like scrap marks on magenta only as per pic.
    Drum, Dev , cleaning unit all checked and cleaned
    Itb assbly checked.

    Swapped the whole drum unit with yellow by removing Dev unit and swapping still same issue

    Magenta Dev has nice uniform later Dev on mag roller.
    I checked inside copier where pcdu goes nothing obvious
    All laser cleaned.

    Any one had similar fault, any input would be appreciated

      its looks like coming from under the development unit.
      fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.

              From the way that's blown out, looks like something is impeding the laser beam. Check the magenta laser aperture for debris.
              It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

              Hit it.

                      The way the magenta toner is being dragged into the yellow leads me to think the problem is with the magenta image transfer roller not contacting the underside of the belt properly.
                      If there is crud built up on the roller. the belt wouldn't be smooth right at the point where the image is transferred from the drum.
                      Wrinkles in the belt would account for the void streaks and the jitter.
                      This is only my humble opinion since I don't work on this model.

                                  Hi

                                  Just and update the the fault

                                  The issue was cause by mylar underneath cyan drum unit, causing magenta cq fault.
