Some reason when client prints most of the time it is blurry. Looks like color registration is off. Internal prints and copies are fine. Any ideas?

Re: Mpc5502 blurry when printing
I have seen a slipping magnetic clutch for a particular color cause this issue--that is, if it has a main motor and a clutch which engages that drum unit.

Could be a print driver issue. You need to post an example.NEVER ASSUME ANYTHINGComment

Re: Mpc5502 blurry when printing
Hi
I would start with deleting the print drivers and reload them. also try printing from another computer if that dosn`t change anything try updating the firmware and if still doing it then my guess would be the print card.Comment

Re: Mpc5502 blurry when printing
The blurred text appears to be printed as composite black. If the line position is off the individual colors of the composite will not align. Before doing a forced line position adjustments, properly clean the ID sensor or the line position might fail. I have also had cleaning the sensor pull the alignment back in without forced adjustment. If it adjusts but a day or two later goes out again, replace the ITB unit, not just the belt. Ricoh had some problems with the belt slipping on the 02s and causing the line position to vary.Comment

Re: Mpc5502 blurry when printing
I use the SPC830DN transfer unit as it extremely cheap and does the same job.....
If your stuck just get the transfer unit from the SPC820DN then, exactly the same thing except the cleaning station has 2 blades instead of 1
Again a lot cheaper and easier than trying to diagnose a issue with the transfer unit its self....Comment
