    Nice catch!

This option is selected as duplex, and you can not remove this selection.

I guess you are an end user not an engineer?

Did you try either deselecting the 1 sided to 2 sided and pressing OK, or merely pressing Cancel?

Even if logged in with the admin user, he will not let me take this selection.
Will I know the factory reset code for this equipment?
I already tried with the combinations:

Yellow + 806182 + hold stop or clear
Yellow + 107 + hold stop or clear

Try just resetting the copier settings by hitting 'User Tools' and holding the # key while selecting the copier features option. You should be prompted to reset the copier settings to factory default.

Ok you are an engineer, so if you want to do a factory reset first back up your NVRAM to an SD card with SP5824-01

Then choose all clear in SP5-801-01

Next check that you issue has resolved.

Lastly restore your NVRAM setting with SP5824-02

These SP modes are from memory but you get the idea.

SP mode is yellow, 1,0,7 hold C

I doubt he needs to go that far (5-801-1) as there is a copier application reset under 5-801-x, I just dont recall the exact SP. It is spelled out on the screen what reset is being accessed.

Besides an NVRAM backup and restore will likely just put the issue he is trying to correct back.

Changing settings from within Copier Function does not normally require being logger in. Those that do will ask authentication when you select to apply the change.

If you were an authorized and trained Ricoh technician, you would know the answer to that. If not you should be able to contact your regional support office to have your rep make an on site visit to show you.
