Is the df slit glass in the correct orientation? Black strip to left side. Does the lamp light up?

Silly question I know; but do the mirrors move when it does white/black level detection?
      Press the GREEN button!!

scaning could work for 50 double side or single sided for a whole day then suddenly it kicks out sc101

Sounds like the slit glass I had the same issue would work fine then randomly throw up sc10q when using the df. Does the df have a CIS?

I have had this once on a mp4000. The solution was transporting the building up heat...
Machine was standing in a not good enough ventilated room, so no turn over off air => heat building up round mfp.
I have removed the metal plates above the print-boards so more warm air could escape; solved!
It also can be a problem with the fusing unit, it becomes to hot due to ???
Also, customers are scanning a very lot these days, so that can also be a reason.

Well, that was also the case in my situation with sc101 on a mp4000!
Is the machine in a ventilated place and is the gap between wall and machine big enough?
                    Is the fusing unit old?

How about firmware, have you tried updating them all (not just scanner) that should be the first thing to be done before replacing hardware.

                              Hi
how do you mean that the fuser could affect the sc101?
I know it said time to change fuser but that was 60k before the PM so i just reset the counter
But i realy dont know how the fuser could be involved.
                              Thanks
