Could be firmware or settings. There have been numerous firmware updates for numerous model to correct problems with not coming out of sleep.

There was a small period many moons back where we had a few scenarios where the actual fault was related to the cable that runs from the SOP panel to the IPU. The usb style one. I think the cable tie was crimped to hard at factory and would short out a little surface mounted fuse on the IPU board in extreme scenarios. Had to change as a set. That would be worst case scenario if you have done all the common fixes first which would be 5191, firmware and controller board. If it's happening every morning you could set a daily timer that powers down the device say at 5am and then powers it back on at 5h10am and then hopefully it runs longer without this scenario.

Normally you should start a new discussion specifying the model and how many possible events, operations you tried to do etc.,

I have a strange fault on a Ricoh Mpc4504SP - When a print job is sent to the device when in sleep mode the machine does not recover (locks up). Screen remains black with blue light on but no print is ejected, touching the screen also does not work. Even the main power switch on does not respond so the only way to reset the device is to physically unplug it. Other functions work fine i.e COPY, SCAN. The client has 2 devices, the other machine works fine.

I have updated all firmware levels on the device and Cheetah Op Panel - Still happens. A Controller has been ordered.

Has anyone seen this and got a fix? Or does anyone know if you can switch sleep mode OFF!!?

                Cheers

What version is the device on?

I would start by updating this & the function version if very old.
