Ricoh SP 4310/ Error SC 899

When I searched code online I saw that it could be network related on many Ricohs,But did not see anything specifically on the 4310.
Has anyone had to deal with this error on the SP4310 series machines? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Common error on many, many machines. F/W updates were put out to improve performance.
In your case as it relates to the SP4310:

SC 899

Malfunctioning software update system fw to 1.04 or higher & PCL fw to 103 or higher

SC 899 in printing is usually a print job that has something that the printer is unable to interpret, often a web page that uses a strange font. If updating firmware does not correct the problem, try isolating to the computer and job causing the problem then try doing print preview and print from the preview screen.

I have the same problem while it's in idle. I always have to turn off printer everyday. Anyone got firmware update for Ricoh SP 4310?

You can never go wrong with firmware updates,BUT from my experience
every time I have had this error it has been a corrupt print job on someones
computer

Aha... very funny...

Of course i will never forget my first post but still free to ASK whatever i want
Firmware is suppossed to be free, not paid. I know lexmark give free firmware since we have some lexmark printers. We will buy once more as a replacement and throw that stupid Ricoh away

This forum is really meant to be rude against anyone without proper rules, and that means i can be rude too. I wish this forum gets destroyed forever. We will find someone who can destroy it
