    MPC300 Image problem

    Hi Guys

I have tested this image on 4 MPC300s and all of them do the same. Line on the same shot. When i rotate the image 180degrees the line is gone. Another image make more of a band.

    Replaced PCU units
    Raplaced Transfer belt
    Firmware up-to-date
Print image on other machine MPC2004 and MPC8002 the it is fine. B6FB72C7-D1E2-4967-9ABA-FBA15934C776.jpgIMG_7493.jpg

Is this happening when you copy, or when you print?

When you replaced the PCU's, did you clean the laser glass?

    ...inquiring minds and all that.

      Hi Sorry

Was a print job. The line is on the print short end of the page. Dirty laser will cause a line in the other direction.

It's the laser. The paper might be short edge but think about how it's fed out

What you should do is run individual colours as a test to rule out your print job causing part of the problem

Is it just this one document? What file format? Have you considered the possibility that the document is corrupt? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

              Hi

The image is a PDF. I have saved it as a jpeg as well but does the same. There is other images like this also with blue sky that does the same.
If i print the image on a MPC2004 and MPC8002 in comes out fine.
A dirty laser will cause a line along the long edge of the page.

              Thanks

                Re: MPC300 Image problem

Well since it's affecting blue sky, I think that I would focus on cyan for starters. The color in your sky sample is C:82 M:49 Y:0 K:32 with the cyan varying about 6% as you scan in the feed direction.

I have replaced cyan dev unit and pcu. Tested it on 3 different MPC300 and they all make the same lines and banding.

What about fuser motor speed? If the fuser is turning too slow or misaligned the paper could buckle away from the drum in the center. Is the anomalie always in the same location on the paper? =^..^=

                      Hi

I have never played around with fuser motor speeds. Do you know the SP Mode for this and what you suggest i must make the value?

If as you say the same fault happens on 4 separate printers the issue is the document surely!?

Must be, but why only on the MPC300s and not on the other printers?

Re. four different printers with the same printed page fault??The only thing common to all those is the PDF file sent to the printer. Find the scanner machine that created the PDF, clean the optics, probably service the machine. HTH sent via phone.
