WARNING:
We have been running into SC878 codes after updating to latest System firmware (and second latest) V2.22 & V2.23 for the MP4002/5002.
According to Ricoh's bulletins, the only way to fix this is by replacing the controller. They say you won't be able to access svc mode or do f/w update once the code appears. Do not believe it!
We have actually been able to reboot machines and downgrade the system firmware to 2.21 or 2.20. When it boots, it will beep and the red wrench will appear, but still allows us to load firmware.
Haven't really had a need to update these machines (no fixes for anything major), but did on a few in the past week or so with same results.
It also fucks up the @remote registration, so you have to get it removed from Center Server and Re-register with a new number.
