    Mp5002 smudges

Client is getting smudges all over page. Especially first thing in the morning it is the worst. Replaced drum, blade, transfer assembly and developer is not very old. Any ideas?

A bigger picture of the sample would help.
Have seen the drums get a weird "buil-up" on them that can be cleaned off.
Toner recycling section in Drum unit can get "full" and dump waste/ recycled toner on drum during first few prints.
You say developer not that old, but you could try swapping dev unit, just to be sure. Make sure you clean magnetic roller in dev. unit. (gets a black coating on it. Scotchbrite it until it's silver again.
      Fuser guides clean?
      Fuser Rollers clean?

        Re: Mp5002 smudges

There are numerous threads about quality issues on the 35/45 and 40/50 ppm model caused by filming building up on the development roller. I noticed that you did not mention the charge roller and charge cleaning brush roller. Were they replaced at the same time as the drum? If not, why not?

For some reason I hve a feeling that the 5002 is not using Genuine Ricoh toner and developer.

happening first copy its more likely a fuser issue not warming up properly

completely . Dev. unit, PCU, transfer, fuser. If those are all good, then someone just has dirty fingers.

                        Re: Mp5002 smudges

Not having a clear image, it is a bit difficult to determine what it is.

I dare to say, according to what you have written, that the problem is in the mornings

                        Is the environment cold?

Many times in cold rooms, first impressions appear like this, with spots, as it does not melt well, although this new fuser etc.

                        increase the initial warm-up time

                        1103001 to 1
                        and that's it
1102002 as you deem necessary and also the 1103003

                        Cheers
