The mirrors are factory set the position is absolutely critical.

I don't think you'll ever resolve this issue scrap the machine is my advice.

not an impossible task but certainly not an easy one. Send us some photos of the damaged part, which, in my opinion, should be dismantled and restored to its original form. I believe only you can fix it by trying to straighten the folded parts.

I've encountered this more than a few times. You just got to dismantle, locating bent/broken parts along the way, replacing repairing. Make sure everything is square and lined up when reassembling. Sometimes it is time consuming and frustrating but 99% of time it can be done. Good luck with it. You can do it!

Obviously you have never had to replace scanner wires. All you need is a set of scanner positioning pins.

The only thing that is factory set and cannot be adjusted in the field is the lens block assembly. You have to replace as a unit.

Good decision. It's fidle job and the mister customer should pay for this.

Most of this occasions I was able to re-bend the frame back to normal but sometimes the uniformity of the scan sharpness/geometry remains slightly uneven and due to all the bending the structural stability remains compromised.
In case there's no finisher installed I'd add that transport secury plastic thingy to the scanner as additional support.

Shurely not covered by any usual maintanance contract and I'd only go for that if the machine is owned by the customer.

You can use the scanner fixation tool (it is in the front cover or on the paper exit plate), which fixate the scanner unit during transport (and removed once at customer site)
That might help you to re-adjust the scanner.
But, if there are optical (carrying) things broken, perhaps it is difficult to re-adjust.
It depends which parts are broken...
