Firmware Upgrade Ricoh MP C3502

Hey guys,

I just picked up a used MP C3502 and I do not think it has the ability to upgrade firmwares. When I go to the Downloads page on Ricoh Aficio MP C3002/C3002G/C3502/C3502G Downloads | Ricoh Global I do not see a way to update the firmware on the Machine.

I do have the ability to go to firmware page and update it but where can I find the actual files for an update?

That page is for users. To download firmware you need to be a tech for an authorized branch or dealer. The Technology Solutions Resource Center and the file repository RFG-eSource, http://ssoappprod.ricoh-usa.com:8080/opensso/UI/Login, require an authorized login.

Since Ricoh does not make firmware available for public download it means that Ricoh considered it intellectual property. Further discussion will be considered a violation of Forum Rules and under Rule 10 could result in your being banned.

Firmware is not available to the end user.

Why would you like to update the firmware? What problems have you encountered?

Why not update firmware, it fixes a long long list of issues, most commonly scanning, but many others as well.

Only available to credited ricoh service engineers if your machine is under contract just ask your service provider if not send copier tech a pm they could point you in the right place.
Always best to keep all firmwares up to date.

I was just saying it's a good idea to always update the firmware when you obtain a new machine, new or used does not matter, to head off any problems. A lot of people are just living with problems because they figure that's the way the machine works, not knowing that problem has been fixed a long time ago with firmware.

I was just saying it's a good idea to always update the firmware when you obtain a new machine, new or used does not matter, to head off any problems. A lot of people are just living with problems because they figure that's the way the machine works, not knowing that problem has been fixed a long time ago with firmware.

Exactly.

Mine machines in the field are almost always up to date with newest firmware. That doesn't mean firmware fixes everything but I like to be proactive. That said without knowing what's the real problem it is shot in the dark. First thing comes first - what's the problem?
