I had a customer call in today by and they have had copier for 2 years. operation panel is flickering and touch screen not working. I am new to this copier. Sounds like maybe touch screen bad. Has anyone seen this problem. They have tried power off and on no luck.

Have they tried a full power reset. turn off with power button, unplug from the AC outlet, hold the power button down until the power LED flashes then plug the power cord back in. If done properly, the machine will restart without have to press the power button on the panel. I have had this take care of touch screens being out of calibration. -

Most likely it is flooded touch panel. Just ask customer if he sanitize the panel with some liquid. We replaced tens of touch panels at our big customer, finding the droplets of disinfection in the panel itself. You know it is not waterproof but explain that to customer. I saw a part # in earlier post. I was wondering if touch screen has to be from the IM series copiers only or can you use an mp series copier touch screen. thanks for any information on this.Comment

have you tried to see what happens with an external flying usb cable, between panel and controller? those usb ricoh cables really suck, they are the same chinese cables that give you together with the external hdd cases, i have one that connects and disconnects by itself on an external hhd, imagine what could happen if it is an android panel talking to a controller BSD..LOL"loneliness is an invention of the white man, when we are alone we talk to everything around us, we are never alone" (Ojibwa)Comment

since January2021 after chrome update my-ricoh cannot download attachment. Some security whatsoever in Google Chrome. Use Edge, Opera, Firefox, etc.. that will work and you will be able to download files again.. you can read a note on my-ricoh homepage news tab
btw my-ricoh will stop working at the end of March21 and you will have to use successor..;-)Comment
