Question about the Pro 8200 Fuser Unit

Does anyone rebuild these? and if so what are the essential parts that you put into the rebuilt fuser. I used to get the Fuser TRCU Unit bI have ut ricoh doesnt have them anymore. But they will sell you the Fusing unit as a part for $3K I have a core to rebuild and dont want to miss any critical parts.

    Thanks
    Hoosierdaddy

PS Unless someone knows of a source to get them rebuilt

Here you go, straight from the PSG. Try Prescision Rollor or just goggle the parts #

Your going to need more parts than that.

That is all for the 1000K maintenance. The web should be replaced ever 600K and most likely will not make 1000K. The hot roller is actually specified at 1800K but it is easier to replace it when you have the fusing unit apart at 1000K than to try to go 2000K.

I replace the AE030086 bearings as well as the above mentioned parts there are 4 ( 2 for pressure, 2 for heat roller) and the heat roller bushings as needed. Usually every other rebuild or as needed. (they will swell up)

Also the Hot roller on the 8200 is AE01-0130; the AE01-0118 is for the 8100 I have always had good luck replacing all the bearings every time.

I can do one of these fusers in about 45 minutes now but I've done close to a 100 of them lol. I usually have to go back and fix the mistakes of the guy who did it before me and used the wrong parts or didn't replace the bearings and they froze up up taking out the belt throwing the SC520 for fuser motor lock.

I let the fusers run for 2 million just changing the web along the way. By 2 mil the ball bearings are starting to fall out of them landing in the tray under the fuser but the machines are still chugging away like nothings wrong.

Thanks for the heads up, I was going to replace those parts also. Do you replace the gears on the rear of the fuser also?

No, not unless there need to. I normally just do a clean/inspect and replace as needed.

i only replace the gears when they become excessively worn or get damaged. They do require periodic lubrication though i think the manual states every 600K to put some grease on them.

The Gears do go after half a dozen or so rebuilds. It's important to put new grease onto those gears at every rebuild. This will help them live longer
