[CQ] Pro c5200s print quality issues from ITB

Hi there.
We have an Ricoh Pro C5200s in the field that is producing banding on all colours. The gap between the banding matches the gap between the charge rollers in the ITB unit, so we replaced the ITB belt cleaned the charge rollers etc ( even though it hadnt exceeded the PM) and replaced the ITB cleaner. We also swapped the 4x charger rollers from another machine but the issue is this there. No SC codes logged, any ideas?

looks like dev unit problem the samples are a little small tho.

what are the life counts on drums/dev units.

Thanks for the input guys.
Dont think its a dev issue, as the same banding are on all colours at differnet points on the page. Only thing we seen that matchs the gaps is the charger rollers in the ITB unit.
Black dev was just repalced about 45k ago and plenty left on the colour devs.

We're be back onsite tomorrow and i'll get better examples and print out that test chart.

Hopefully you changed or inspected the opposed roller on the ITB unit while you had it apart inspecting / swapping the 4 bias rollers. I had one earlier in the week on a C7100 where the previous techs replaced the ITB belt and the CMYK bias rollers but didn't bother to do the opposed roller or the tensioner lol. tensioner roller was completed caked in power and I was getting white spots. and end of life SC codes for the opposed roller.

Hi Mate,

What's the distance between Bands ? That's often a clue. If its on all colours it might be wise to clean the encoders on the ITB unit.It normally causes mixed colour banding and usually when the device has done a lot of work. They get covered in Lubricant powder. Good luck

What direction was the paper fed in your picture?

Have you tried running DEMS?

We're out with the client again yesturday and got better print examples from SP2-109, the gap distance is roughly 158m, media is 120 silk.
DEMS results are 11111111. Only PM that has exceed is the PTR unit, which we have on order.
