Ricoh 4054 windows 11 scan to folder problem

I have an off lease Ricoh MP 4054, everything works great except cannot scan to folder to a windows 10 / 11 computer. It does scan to a Windows 7 computer.
I used the Ricoh firmware update tool, it ran very quickly, like about a minute total. Even though it said "successful" when it finished,I don't believe it performed a FW update.
In the web monitor, under SMB , there is not an "Advanced Settings" section allowing a choice of port 445 and activating SMB v2 / SMBv3.

This sure looks and acts like a firmware issue, I have firmware for a MP 2554 - SD version, is this the same for the MP 4054 ?

Normally when the Firmware Update Tool exits quickly without an error code it means that the firmware was already up to date.
Have you checked the network log immediately after attempting to scan?
Most likely something in the network settings is not correct. Are you trying to scan by the computer name or IP address?
Is the Win11 computer part of a domain or a workgroup?

Post your firmware versions so we can see if they are likely the problem.

Looks like you need these if it has the normal panel(not smart panel)
      System 1.20
      Network Support 14.37
      Web Support 1.09
      Scanner 01.08
      Op panel 1.06

Can you post here the list of your current firmware ? you can find this on the device WIM (webpage)

Sounds like to tool finished way too soon to have updated anything.

Thank you for the replies, the 4054 firmware: Network support 14.34, Scanner 01.07, Web Support 1.07, Op panel 1.05, System 1.17 It appears I need the FW upgrade as suspected.
The firmware update tool clearly does not work for the 4054 ( even though it is on the list of systems it works on). I have 2 4054's with the same issue, and the same outcome using the FW update tool which does not work in these cases.
As stated earlier, I do have the updates in an SD version for the MP 2554 both romdata and package, will they work for the 4054? I don't want to "brick" the machine with wrong firmware

When we refurb equipment, we always test all functions, especially scanning. I'm very familiar with scan to folder set up. I test to the same in house windows 10 pro OS computer. This is a first failure on 2 different MP 4054's after a firmware upgrade using the firmware update tool. I'm sure Shared properties on the folder are correct.
I'll contact UK Firmware and post if that solves our issue.

              Appreciate this site, always helpful
