I am an IT pro at a small law firm, and am managing a 1 yr old or so Ricoh MP 301. Yes, it is an older model, but it was new to us. I am new to managing these printers, but would like to have it send me emails to tell me when issues arise. I am setting up the printer to talk to our MS365 account using my email, a global admin, but I keep getting errors. Ive been trying to do this for about a year or so. Ive tried both my ms365 and a gmail account and it doesnt work. I have been following the directions in the manual (https://support.ricoh.com/bb_v1oi/pu...tm?&seek=Email) and having a hard time getting this to work.
After some searching, I found this link (https://community.spiceworks.com/t/s...ters/304574/14), and this link (https://kb.gsd.ricoh.com/app/answers...-does-not-work), and this is what I was able to come up with for settings for email in the printer:
Admin email: myemail@lawfirm.com (not my actual address, ofc)
Signature: From your printer
Email reception protocol: SMTP
Email Reception Interval: on, 5 min
Max Reception Email Size: 9mb
Email Storage in Server: All
SMTP Server Name: smtp.office365.com
SMTP Port: 587
SMTP Authentication: On
SMTP Auth. Email Address: myemail@lawfirm.com
SMTP Auth. Username: myemail@lawfirm.com
SMTP Auth. Password: (my actual password)
SMTP Auth Encryption: Auto Select
I created an app password based on the 2nd link's advice. Either way, I am getting the same error.
At the moment, I am getting the following after I hit save:
Error
Wrong parameter.
Reset the correct parameter.
