How can I scan to a folder?

Hello everyone. I have a Ricoh 7502 model machine. I want to use the scanning feature. I used it before, but after formatting my computer, reconfiguration was required. My computer guy has now closed his business and we are not in the same city. My settlement is a bit small and I am having problems getting technical support. Could you please tell me step by step what I need to do?

I created a file on my disk. And I opened it for sharing and gave the necessary permissions. I use wireless internet on my computer. But there is a switch between my computer and the machine. Believe me, I have no idea what path I should follow... :/

We had previously performed an installation via FileZilla. I wanted to edit it again and add it in case it might be useful to say this.

try to use this, I've never used it, but I've heard people here say it works.

Thank you guys for your help, but let me explain it to you more clearly. I provide the connection between my computer and my machine with the help of a switch. We can print when we give the IP we gave to the machine to the switch. Likewise, we can log in to the Ricoh interface. (Web Image Monitor) But we don't know the username and password. We type admin as the username and leave the password blank and we get an error. That's why I want to scan using FTP over the IP and switch we have assigned. I know it's very confusing and bad

at this point it's quicker to send you this video than to explain the procedure, may work on that model too.
when it asks you leave the password for "supervisor" blank

no matter which method you try to setup the scans. at some point you have to have access to the web image monitor. this is so you can tell the copier where to direct the scans. i have never used filezilla on a ricoh, only on kyocera. i use either use the scan config tool for ricoh. or i it up with the other method listed above. and as slim mentioned, make sure those permissions are on. and some firewalls will block it, your IT might have to allow the scans. i have also seen typically what someone says is their antivirus. but it also has a firewall that blocks it.

FTP confusing, NO. FTP bad, extremely. It is the least secure method of file sharing. If that switch is connected to the internet you expose your computer to every hacker in the world by installing an FTP server.

Everything is great, the file where my scans will go has also appeared on the machine. But I get network wall error from the machine. I granted all necessary permissions from the network sharing center and turned off the firewall. I scan but I can't import the pdf to file. Where could the problem be?

Yes, I somehow gained access to the web image monitor interface. I did everything in the video suggested by our other friend who tried to help. I do not have antivirus, my firewall is turned off, SMB 1.0 is activated, the file is shared safely. I wonder if I'm having this problem because I didn't set a password for the new user I'm sharing files with?

If the MP 7502 cannot be upgraded to SMBv2/v3, be aware that every time Windows installs an update it will turn SMB1 off. You can however use Scan to a Memory device, see operator instruction manual. That takes the network out of the picture entirely.

yes that windows turning off my share settings is a pain in the ............

and yes the one setting this up. you gotta have the user id and password, most cases.

For what it's worth, I tried years ago to get into web image monitor on an MP6002. After typing admin for username and leaving password blank, I clicked the enter key and got an error. After messing with it for awhile knowing the password wasn't changed I typed admin and left the password blank, then with my mouse clicked the ok key and it worked. WTF right.
