    im 350f Legacy ui error.

    Hi all

I dont suppose anyone would be kind enough to offer some advice.
We purchased 3 of the above machines and all have legacy ui errors whenever you try to click counters or any menus.
I have been told there is firmware that fixes this ?
I have tried the latest SOP firmware which flashed but didnt fix the issue.

Any kind folks offer any advice or whar version of firmware is needed.

    Thanks in advance.

you have reset the screen SOP! ricoh says not to do it!
so you lost everything, the screen became a formatted tablet
try going to "application site" accept the terms and there should be the option to download legacy apps.
beyond that I don't know how to help you

No we didnt reset it, we bought them and it had already been done.
Will try the application route and see if it works.

Get your head out of the sand. Whom ever reset it doesn't matter. luca72's solution most likely still applies.

Head was firmly above ground level lol, i was just stating that it wasn't screen wiped by us and i was asking if anyone knows a workaround to get them up and running again.
As Luca72 suggested the application store doesn't work. the only icon we get is user settings but cannot access counter etc.

          Appreciate any help

so the screen loads but the only the user tools icon will appear? you can select the user tools icon but it will not load the counter or machine features or anything else?

I have not seen it on this model but on the c3504/ex have seen this numerous times always resulting in it being a defective controller board. for the 3504/ex there was a section in the troubleshooting describing sc672's and checking the LED's on the controller and the SOP. When this issue would occur all the LED's on the controller would be solid red.

Unfortunately the 350 is a different beast and only has the one main board but might be worth it to check the status LED's compared to a working machine.

Have you left the machine turned on for any length of time to see if any SC errors eventually come up? The one machine i had it would not show an sc for over an hour of sitting idle.

There were many controller PCB changes with this series. is it possible an old incompatible firmware got installed?

              Something came to mind.
try checking in the SP that the presence of the Cheeta SOP is active (if any), it must be on "1"
              maybe you need reset+1+4+3+C+C...maybe🤔

                Thankyou Guys for you responses

I have been away for few days and back to work now,

Leoculus they have been left overnight and dont show any errors at all, i will take a look and check the leds on the controller board. Yes that is correct i only get the homescreen with the user tools icon which you can click but no other menus work if you try they throw up the Black screen Legacy ui error,
Luca Also i cannot get into service mode, i have tried the 3 variations of sp access code that i know including the one you mentioned. None take you into service mode ! GRRR

                Appreciate your help guys Thanks

this is COMMON when SOP v2 is Factory Reset in Android Recovery Mode. at this point this SOP only have OS, not a single apps or required other apps.
Only way to get it back is to apply latest package firmwares as Package firmware contains all Firmwares + SOP OS + SOP Apps.
while updating package Firmware you will get an error for Animation Firmware, just be patient, wait for some time to complete package firmware update before rebooting the device.

if you don't have package firmware - then you need to get separate files for All SOP Apps for SOP v2.
                  have done thine numerous times

                    [RESET/YELLOW] + 1 + 4 + 3 + C + C (last key keep press) - and check if present "cheeta sp, maybe under sp5-xxx"

                      This does not work.
Figured it out in the end, pain in the backside. None of the above recommended actions work.
Its basically a communication problem between M/C (unix) and an android display.
I can offer advice on the fix if anyone needs assistance

Thanks again for your time and effort Gents.

Turn off the machine, remove the small panel on the left side of the screen, there should be three buttons behind it then
turn on the copier by holding down the top and bottom buttons, when the blue Please Wait... screen appears, immediately press and hold the top and middle buttons for a few seconds.
The Android recovery screen should now appear, the top button should move the selection up, the middle button should move the selection down and the bottom button is select.
                          Let me know...

That's kind of the whole point of this site.

here it is, I got the correct procedure wrong [reset]+1+4+3+[C] (2 times and the last one hold down, otherwise the sp does not appear)
