    mc 251fw

I have two of these that randomly won't wake up from sleep or they get stuck processing and the only way to clear it is to unplug copier. This location has several of these but only 2 of them are doing that. Firmware is updated. Our IT dept. has tried all sorts of stuff but no luck as of yet. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I hate this box and wish sales would not sell it,

Firmware Update only replaces modules that are not at the current version. It cannot detect and therefore cannot replace corrupted firmware. You will have to overwrite everything using module firmware.

you have to do a manual update as anothertech says, in the changes described in the new version, there is the solution to the problem you encountered
        Symptom corrected:
        - Unable to obtain information from a specific machine on @Remote.
        - Unable to wake up from Sleep Mode.
        - [Vulnerability] Implementation of countermeasures for weak RSA key generation.

        Other changes:
        - Wi-Fi Direct password is required during initial setup.

Is there a special way or place to go to override the firmware? I went to Ricoh selected the model and chose firmware and it only has one selection. That' s been downloaded and installed. Is there another way of rewriting firmware to this copier?

Have you actually talked to Ricoh regional support and told them you have corrupted firmware?

Are you going to the Ricoh TSRC support site? All the firmware is listed there.

What version is your Main-PDL ?

Do TSRC and rfg-esource even exist anymore?

Yes the firmware was downloaded from the tsrc and also from the support page at Ricoh -usa.com. There is only 2 firmware options for this copier. Slimbob I have not checked with Ricoh personally but I think our IT person may have but not sure. Thanks

You never did say what your current Main-PDL version is.

Just to be sure, have you tried disabling sleep and checking your network connections?
