SOP IM 430F

Hi, i have a ricoh im 430f with smart operation panel.

I have a problem that in normal mode it takes about 10 minutes with the black screen and the blue led on, only then it shows the blue screen and loads the applications (it also happens a lot in quick mode), the machine's engine works perfectly , only the panel is having problems.

Has anyone ever experienced this?

I've already tried to do the data and cache reset in recovery mode but without success.

Sounds like JAVA might be enabled. If it is, the engine does not finish startup and hand control to the SOP until JAVA finishes initializing. It has always been a problem with JAVA.

Turn off Java if you are not using it. SP5730 set from 1 to 0

After disabling java, go to screen features and select function priority as copier ( not home or blank)

Unless the IM 403F is used primarily for scanning or Fax, then select the primary use function.

Just factory reset the panel then reload the apps, if it keeps doing it then replace the main board.

as they all said disable java, either from user tools or from sp, as regards the start from off, also look in screen features, [panel start mode] that "quick" is set, and not "normal" (which I prefer ) .... personally I would also do a nice fw update of the android panel ... which is always good

You might also want to look at TSB-093a. It covers faults on the Cheetah G2 SOP.

How do I find that TSB? I do have access to the Ricoh TSRC

Update the firmware this was/is a known issue.
