      ok...I changes the entire doc feeder...no better
      I changed the optics unit... worse...so upon re installing the original optics unit I notice bad smuggling on this lens see pic... I cleaned this small lens.. it had some type of smear on it... took a few wipes to remove... I'm not sure how it got there.

        Proper cleaning of all the optics is always the first step in correcting any background issue.

          i agree in cleaning the optics, but to have to disassemble the optic unit to clean this one little mirror is not normal, and the smudge on it and where its residing is hard to think someone got in there with grease or some kind of lube is crazy,,,
