i didn't replace the entire unit. i only replace the drum roll (it is in blue color) itself...
When you replace just the drum you should also replace the cleaning blade, charge roller, the charge roller cleaner and the developer. Of course the after market vendor who sold you their cheap drum didn't tell you that did they.

no....
so instead of replace the cleaning blade, charge roller, the charge roller cleaner and the developer. Shall i just "clean" them?
The developing unit was contaminated, that is, it was overfed.
No process control was performed, etc.
Normally, the above steps are changed at the same time as the blade cylinder, developer, loading, cleaning, etc.
Ultimately, to get things right, and if only the drum was damaged and the developer still had life:
Put in an empty cartridge and make dark copies, leaving the edge with a piece of white paper about 5 centimeters wide. To prevent it from jamming in the fuser due to the blackness of the copies, open the cover and remove about 40 sheets.
Check if the black has been discharged. Remove a counter again to see the triangle and the cleanliness of the sheet.
Based on that, see if it's still contaminated and makes more black copies. Or, if it's okay, perform the normal drum process or a new unit.
On these machines, if the spent developer is not changed, it will overfeed and produce dirty copies on the back.

I hope I didn't miss any piece with all this cazzo of advertising to close....but, come on guys!...just change the cylinder, and at least wash the charging roller with soap and water, it must work, in my opinion he assembled something badly, there is something out of place, it would be interesting to see how the prints were before the intervention, I hope he at least reset the 3-701=OPC, to allow the machine to readjust the currents to the new part.
Dear all, I replaced the drum on my Ricoh MP305+, but now the prints look like this.
Do I need to go into service mode to change some settings?
thanks!!
As others have said.
The drum itself is the least of your problems with this sample image
It's everything else in the unit that works in conjunction with the drum, and of course you should also replace the drum when replacing the other components; However it's not intended to be rebuilt - especially with inferior compatible parts. It's intended to be replaced as a complete unit.
Replace the entire pcdu unit, cleaning the inside of the mounting bay first if you don't want to make things worse. Have you checked the PM counter? Why don't you ask for advice BEFORE you get your hands on it?
At the very beginning when i discovered a black line constantly appear on paper, i found out the drum is damage.
so i ordered a drum and replace by following this video
i just tried to photocopy and also print from a black paper,
it turns out like the pic attached.

how to allow the machine to readjust the currents to the new part?
i am managed to enter the service mode.
3-701-[OPC] and restart the machine
but looking carefully at the defect, and besides the fact that now I understand that it did it before, I don't think that's the solution, the defect is too serious, is it possible that by chance you emptied the developer from the development unit?...because we have had cases in which the customer has done this
on the other hand, making a diagnosis just by looking at a photo, you will understand that it is not the easiest thing in the world
clean also the laser glass bar, someone might have sprayed lubricating oil and it got greasy
