Re: Ricoh SC 544 Used reset fuse, Code comes back
Agree with Tim...What Model and what have you done?
If we're talking about a Cxx02/ Cxx03, etc., type machine, I don't bother with fuses, and use this jig instead (although I've installed a push switch on the end to release, instead of just crossing the wires). (Props to whoever posted this here years ago, including the push switch idea from another member!!)

I've also made the same for the smaller colour machine (C306/307, etc.) you just use a different connectorComment

Re: Ricoh SC 544 Used reset fuse, Code comes back
I can't believe I forgot to put the model. Thanks for asking MP C4502. The new fix film came with busted heat lamp. I took the one out of a used one and used it. Thought I put itr back together right. Been having a tough time with this machine... Thanks again !!!Comment

Re: Ricoh SC 544 Used reset fuse, Code comes back
Important: The fusing unit cannot be used because an abnormal high
temperature was detected.
After this SC occurs, the counter reset of the fusing unit should be done
manually using SP3-902-014 because the counter reset is not done
automaticallyComment

Re: Ricoh SC 544 Used reset fuse, Code comes back
I would focus on the sensors, clean / replace the thermistors, in particular the sensors with the yellow windows, with diluent and cotton swabs, they gave me a problem a few days ago, and I solved this, instead for the fuses, do as they suggested to you, or as I always did in that discussion

Re: Ricoh SC 544 Used reset fuse, Code comes back
as the sleeve havent sensors, I have either broken the liner sleeve, or is electrically interrupted (which cannot create overheating)

Re: Ricoh SC 544 Used reset fuse, Code comes back
I hope I have understood your problem well.
if you install the lamps of a mpc 3502, it will give you this error sc 544.
the connectors for mpc4502 and mpc 5502 are yellow, all three, while for mpc 3002 and 3502 all three are white.
maybe that's it.Comment

Actually the connectors on both are yellow. Didn't know they were different though. Leaning to Thermistors. Hope that is it... THANKS !!!!Comment
